I have read and understood all THREE PAGES of the Assistant Guidelines.

Being present: Coming on time (no exceptions), prioritizing the container of students and their needs, and maintaining a smooth class flow.

Keeping the container: Reporting any problems, misunderstandings, or rupture of boundaries with students (in any context with anyone: student, assistant, or teacher) to the organizers and the lead assistant.

Responsibility of self-regulation(1): Your role as an assistant is to hold the space for the students so they can learn and experience the teachings of the Somatic Experiencing. It will be harder and even impossible for you to be present with the students, and be there for them, if you YOURSELF are dysregulated.  

Responsibility of self-regulation (2): During the training week, you might be assisting in some groups, or not, co-organizing and coordinating, or not, helping out in some tasks, or not. Please assume in good faith, nothing is personal, if you were not assigned tasks, been an angel to the students. If this (or anything happening during the training) is activating for you, it is your responsibility to work on it, on your own, or book a personal session with one of the senior assistants on the training.

Resorting to repair first: If you witness any problems, conflicts, negative feedback or misunderstandings by the students, resort to repair first before escalating & share what happened with the organizers. As organizers we have a record of most of the misunderstandings, and hiccups that happened with any of the students, or the assistants. So we can support and help you navigate that with repair.

Assume good intentions: As organizers, we dedicate good amount of time in every detail relating to the training. If you feel something is not the best, come forward with your suggestion and we will consider it of course.

Committing to the training: Attend ALL DAYS initially, and be upfront AT LEAST ONE WEEK BEFORE THE MODULE STARTS about any changes in your attendance.
